EMG Patches
Our EMG patch electrodes are hand manufactured to order by Microprobes for Life Science, allowing for a very high degree of customizability and versatility. Each patch features custom-shapeable low impedance platinum iridium foil contacts bonded to platinum iridium or stainless steel leads using a sophisticated microwelding process to ensure maximum chronic resilience and performance in mechanically strenuous implant locations. All contacts can be sized and positioned in precise positions on the patch, allowing for the creation of sophisticated custom layouts to match any application.

- Fully arbitrary design, with users able to define exact positioning of contacts and spacings within the patch to create complex and sophisticated electrode arrangements
- Patches can be optimized for either acute or chronic applications
- Patches can be arranged in paired, quad, or more complex custom layouts
- Implant-grade silicone substrate provides a durable yet flexible and suturable backing material
- Leads can be customized to be thin, lightweight, and flexible, or thick, robust, and breakage-resistant depending on application and implant location
- Wide variety of connector options including standard banana or touchproof, multichannel pedestal, or user-defined custom mounts
- Platinum-iridium or 316L stainless steel leads are available for MRI applications
- Contact count and layout (typically 2×1, 2×2, 3×2, 3×3, or custom arrangement)
- Patch substrate can be custom sized and shaped to match implant location
- Cuff material (implant-grade silicone, vulcanized or meshed options available)
- Contact electrode material (platinum-iridium ribbon, microwire options available)
- Angle of flexible lead coming off the patch (parallel, perpendicular, angled, left or right)
- Patch can be modified with holes for easy suturing
- Flexible lead metal (316L stainless steel or platinum-iridium)
- Flexible lead encapsulation (bare pre-insulated wire, silicone, polyurethane)
- Connector type (stripped wire, banana, touch-proof, P1 pedestal, omnetics, or user-defined custom)
- Ground or reference electrode options available on request
