Spike Neuro and Duke University receive NIH SBIR funding to develop cutting edge wireless headstage technology

Introduction

Spike Neuro is partnering with Dr. Jim Morizio and Duke University to develop an ultra light-weight and long lasting real-time wireless recording and stimulation headstage. This 2-year, nearly $1 million Brain Initiative project, supported by the National Institute of Mental Health of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number R43MH135814, leverages a hybrid backscatter radio technology to extend recording time and enable wireless electrical stimulation.
