Introduction

Spike Neuro is proud to announce the award of our most recent NIH National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Phase I STTR grant titled “Dual-Function Carbon Modified-Silicon Microelectrodes for Biomolecule Detection with Fast-Scan Cyclic Voltammetry and Electrophysiology Recording and Stimulation.” We are thrilled to be collaborating with Dr. Alexander Zestos (PI) at American University to bridge his outstanding advancements in the simultaneous detection of multiple neurotransmitters through Fast-Scan Cyclic Voltammetry with our groundbreaking development of pure silicon carbide neural probes. Through the support of NIH NIMH, we will soon provide neuroscience researchers with a highly durable and biocompatible neural probe for both neurochemistry and electrophysiology research. Spike Neuro is honored to work with Dr. Zestos to continue our mission to support the translation of academic research to commercial products.
